DUE TO CLOSE 19 JANUARY 2015
With its smartly aproned staff, romantic booths, eye-catching artworks and easy-going vibe, the Covent Garden Grill is custom-built for tourists, families, sightseers and theatre-goers looking for something meaty and sustaining in cool, taupe surroundings. Char-grilled, 28-day aged steaks, lamb chops, marinated chicken breast, burgers and whole fish are the mainstays of a menu that is bookended by rustic cured meats, crab cakes, chicken satay and creamy desserts such as summer pudding, rhubarb crème brûlée or vanilla pannacotta. Two-course set menus are a snip at £14, while regulation cocktails, beers and wines are par for the course.
