Chettinad Not Up To Scratch
Although I had phoned and booked this restaurant earlier in the day, when our group arrived, they had no trace of the booking at all. However, they still managed to find us a table.
When our orders were delivered to the table one of our dishes was missing and they had to go away and cook it. Not good.
Although the food was tasty, the portions are very small indeed. The curries consisted mostly of gravy with only a few pieces of meat. For the price of the dishes, I felt this was a rip off.
The bread was hard. Finally when paying the bill, I discovered that we were being charged for 3 portions of rice, even though we only had two. On mentioning this they rectified the bill.
I will not be eating at the Chettinad in Percy Street, London ever again, and would not recommend it as a place to eat.
