Fulham football stadium Craven Cottage is about to open a state-of-the-art hospitality venue including multiple restaurants, a boutique hotel and health spa, a roof terrace member’s club and multiple meetings and event spaces.
Renovation work on the Riverside Stand has been underway for the last five years, with Fulham FC Chairman Shahid Khan announcing the official plans back in 2019. But the wait is almost over as it gears up to open to the public in summer 2025.
The seven-storey development is set to be a major foodie destination with a wealth of upmarket and more casual dining concepts. On the ground food, a Riverside Market will host Tinie Tempah’s chicken brand Raps, Goila Butter Chicken, Base Face Pizza, and burger brand Fat Pickle by Instagram star Big Has, with more big names yet to be announced. While the first floor will be home to a smart restaurant - The Gourmet - and a brasserie which are rumoured to offer Michelin star dining across both.

On level two, a range of events, meeting and conference spaces will be available to hire, while the roof terrace or Sky Deck will play host to a member’s club and private swimming pool that looks out onto the River Thames below. But that's not all. A boutique hotel and spa will sit either side of the stand, and there’s a cultural space called the Orange Box that will host events like podcasts, film screenings and comedy nights.
The stand has been designed by architect Populous and includes a transformation of the riverside walkway that connects Putney Bridge and Hammersmith Bridge. Pedestrians will be able to walk down this specific stretch of the river path for the first time since Craven Cottage opened in 1896.
The works have also increased the capacity of Craven Cottage to 28,500, with the riverside stand boasting a capacity of 8,000 spectators.
Speaking about the development, Shahid Khan commented: ‘There is no other riverside setting like this in London. The entire destination will fulfil our vision to optimise the expansive views of the riverfront while introducing an iconic promenade, all delivering a waterfront experience across every floor.
