About

The Harrow has welcomed visitors for over four centuries and still to this day retains many of its orginal features, such as its flint face and open wood burner. Originally in its place stood two cottages with a horse trough but over the centuries many changes have been made including the restaurant area which was converted from an previously standing outhouse.

The Harrow Inn also has close historical links with WWII. There is a map within the pub that shows that during the war the Home Guard actually used the Harrow as their HQ!

The Harrow is situated at the top of the hill and is known to be the second highest pub in Surrey. It stands very near to Pilgrims Way which is in its own a very historical walk way after being used for thousands of years by many civilizations. This closely linked historical path is one of the reasons why so many people walk the North Downs route and stopping by the Harrow seems to only add to the experience.
