The elegant and airy elevated ground-floor restaurant and conservatory, where clean 70s bare brick is enhanced with pale banquettes and a wood floor, appeals to the cosmopolitan locals in St John’s Wood, who appreciate the space and great service. The kitchen is Halal, (but there’s also an alcohol licence) and produces quality Lebanese dishes – foul moudammas (broad beans), hummus Beiruty (with parsley) and Arayes (mini pizzas of Lebanese bread topped with meat and cheese) are recommended starters. Follow with something from the charcoal grill – the chicken shawarma, marinated in spices, onions and vinegar, is much admired - and finish with a selection of baklava. The wine list is suitably weighted towards Lebanon, but there’s plenty else to choose from, including an impressive cocktail list.
