A neighbour to the more famous Star of India and Noor Jahan, Thali delivers more than either on authenticity and refinement. Spices are well judged and subtle, ingredients fresh and of high quality, preparations careful and portions generous, albeit not excessive. The menu offers standards seen elsewhere but also more unusual dishes, including a delectable rabbit tandoori. The decor is pleasant, simple and tasteful, the service is efficient, and the prices reasonable. This Indian restaurant deserves to be on the map.
