The Mount Street Dining Room and Bar is located inside the Midland Hotel, Manchester. It is a light and modern space serving a menu of British classic dishes with a contemporary twist. The Mount Street Dining Room and Bar is open daily for light bites and cocktails, as well as serving a three-course menu, and traditional Sunday lunch.
The menu is largely inspired by local suppliers and produce. If you’re looking for a three course meal perhaps you might go for the lobster crumpets served with sesame and hollandaise, or the traditional pork pie served with mustard, piccalilli and carrot.
Main courses include a selection of grilled meats such as ribeye and fillet steak, as well as a roast chicken served with green beans and toasted almonds. You will find a selection of fish dishes on the menu, plus vegetarian dishes such as the halloumi burger made with beef tomato and a toasted brioche bun.
If you’re looking for something hearty and traditional take a look at the selection of home-made pies on the menu, which are freshly made to order. There is a beef wellington pie made for two, plus a mushroom pie served with mash and a tarragon cream, there is also a chicken pie made with thyme and chicken gravy.
Desserts are classic and tempting, perhaps you’ll go for the hot chocolate fondant or the Yorkshire rhubarb and custard tart. There is also a cheese plate.
There is a large and varied drinks menu which includes a selection of good wines, beers and spirits. There is also fresh coffee, tea and soft drinks.
