Joining the growing number of pop-ups that have found a permanent home, Liberty Cheesesteak involves shredded American rib-eye steak, sautéed onions and three cheeses including their own Liberty Wiz cheese sauce, all stuffed together into a sub. A gourmet restaurant experience it ain’t, but as tummy filler it’s ideal: made from big, juicy steaks, it’s wholesome, toothsome and very, very quick. This is another of London’s one-product niche eateries, so the menu extends to skinny fries with or without cheese but goes no further. Still, what what the cooks do, they do well. These are allegedly the best cheese steaks this side of their hometown of Philadelphia – we’ll take their word for it.
