A chichi all-day dim sum joint aimed squarely at South Ken's fashionistas, Bo Lang is the brainchild of Moscow-born entrepreneur and Tatler favourite Aytan Eldarova. Done out with thick-cut wood screens, artefacts and charcoal velvet upholstery, it resembles a sultry teahouse – although it's not all about conspicuous style. Pick well and you can find real substance here: exquisitely crafted morsels such as luminous saffron scallop and cod dumplings, short-rib puffs, crab with balsamic 'pearls', and parcels of wild mushrooms with water chestnuts and goji berries not only taste gorgeous but look beautiful too. Otherwise, the rather predictable full menu is hit and miss – from rubbery black cod to beef in ginger and oyster sauce. Reports suggest that service can fall apart at busier times, but we'd recommend trying the place for a light lunch or Chinese afternoon tea.
