If you’re looking to get your friends together for an event, where you know you can get some guaranteed good grub and some pints to wash it down with, then Dough & Brew is the one for you. Known primarily for the pizza (the clue’s in the name), it goes above and beyond your standard pizza menu and includes everything from classic flavour combos including creamy brie with caramelised onion and maple bacon and Mediterranean veg in aged balsamic and truffle oil. There’s also some more indulgent options such as the ‘mork’ which is the six cheese mac n cheese with maple roasted bacon, or something more classic including a margherita.
The pizzas here are renowned for being some of the best in the country, with a whole host of accolades including ‘Best Pizza in England 2022’ and ‘Best Casual Dining Restaurants 2022’. More than just the pizza, Dough & Brew is also known for its extensive drinks list where you can tuck into a number of local lagers, ales and IPAs.
Owner John Martin was behind the interiors here, and has created a relaxed atmosphere for unfussy, casual dining, with hints of industrial style decor, which has been brought to life through plush blue seating, and a plethora of light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. For when the weather allows, there’s even a sizable courtyard for al fresco dining, well equipped with covers to protect you from any adverse weather.
For those after a trip out in larger groups, the space is available to book either in its entirety or particular sections of the venue. The team is always on hand here to ensure the smooth running of any event, including an option for private, corporate and wedding catering, so that even if you can’t come to the venue, they can come to you.
