Those planning the Christmas party have our sympathies - it's a tough gig. But if you really want to pull it out of the bag, maybe you should do something like hiring a world famous stadium known for hosting some of the most loved sporting events in history? It's just a thought.
Luckily for you, Wembley Stadium is open for private dining and enthusiastically welcomes bookings, especially at Christmas time. Every year the events team creates a new theme and bespoke packages for guests to take full advantage of. While this festive period hasn't quite been decided on, there are lots of details available to get you started.
In terms of spaces, there are eight main styles of events suites available which differ vastly in size and look. If, for example, your Christmas do is more of a fancy dinner to thank clients or treat your small team, consider the corporate boxes which seat between eight and 20 people and have wow-worthy views of the pitch. Here, you can enjoy a fantastic meal, drinks and have front row seats to this iconic scene.
Or, if you're planning on going the whole hog, The Great Hall or The Wembley Suite both offer huge spaces. These come as a blank canvas to be transformed into a winter wonderland. With capacity for up to 2,000 people, this is an incredible opportunity to host your entire company and do something really special. Previous decorations have featured disco balls, palm trees and even reconfiguring the whole space into a cocktail lounge.
Alternatively, for something a little more low key, spaces like the Three Lions pub or the Atrium are modern open spaces boasting contemporary design. Here, you can put on a buffet, book a drinks package and allow everyone to let their hair down a little.
In terms of catering, Wembley Stadium offers an in house service and has plenty of menu options. Choose between canapes, bowl food, buffets, a dinner package or even just a drinks reception. It's also worth noting that come Christmas there will be more themed options, too.
