You may well have walked past New Street Warehouse in Liverpool Street and not realised the historical significance of this building. This 18th century warehouse once belonged to the East India Company and was used to house textiles and trade goods from from India, hence the name. 300 years later it houses a collection of four venues - two restaurants, a wine bar and a cocktail lounge - which all host a variety of events, private dinners and weddings.
As you might guess from the name, fresh fish and seafood is the order of the day at Fish Market, but the space also makes a great blank canvas spot for a quirky wedding. This is a relaxed, stylish venue that can be kitted out in full wedding regalia to celebrate a special day, and has a standing capacity for up to 120 guests for a wedding in the heart of the City, just minutes walk from Liverpool Street station. Fish Market is especially good for a summer wedding, when you and your guests can spill out onto the al fresco terrace and enjoy a drink in the sunshine. That said, the terrace is covered and heated, so it makes a good wedding breakout space all year round.
Hosting your wedding at Fish Market means, of course, a delicious seafood banquet for your wedding meal, but the kitchen team can tailor a menu to suit you and your guests. It also means unfettered access to the restaurant's events team, including a dedicated manager who will help you through the planning process. You can choose to keep the restaurant's seaside theme intact, or change things up and transform the whole space with your own decorations. Whatever you decide, the events team will work with you every step of the way to make sure every element is looked after, from flowers and decoration to entertainment and music.
