Planning a gastronomic occasion in Liverpool? Restaurant 8 is an immersive dining experience focused around unique, sensory and nostalgic storytelling. Guests are invited to enjoy a multi-course menu in a chef’s table setting, all set to a bespoke soundtrack curated specially for dining at 8. So, whether you’re planning a birthday, wedding, business meeting, product launch or just fancy getting friends and family together, you can be sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone at the table with a meal at Restaurant 8.
The concept was originally founded by chef Andrew Sheridan in Birmingham, while he was working as executive chef at Craft Dining Rooms in the city’s International Convention Centre. The project moved to Liverpool at the beginning of 2023, where it now occupies a two-storey site near the famous Cavern Club.
Upstairs lies a more relaxed bar area suited to pre-dinner drinks and snacks. Relax and mingle here before moving downstairs to two 10-seat benches, which you can hire in their entirety for the evening. Book just one for up to 10 people, or both for up to 20 if you fancy hiring the entire space.
The menu is based around seasonal produce and changes four times throughout the year in keeping with the seasons, scheduled specifically in January, April, July and October. While the dishes always vary, previous examples from the menu include mackerel with gazpacho and horseradish, scallop with brown butter and dashi, Welsh lamb with rib and broth, and cod with caviar and rose.
Guests are able to enjoy the food menu alone, or with a bespoke drinks pairing to complete the experience. Do note that each bench can be booked exclusively for up to 10 guests with a minimum spend of £1,200.
