A beautiful, Georgian building, Assembly Rooms are designed to be some of the best in the area. The Assembly Rooms are available for public or private, corporate or civic events, for concerts, stand-up comedy, spoken word and performances of every nature. Your event will be managed by a specialist team who are committed to ensuring every aspect of your booking is as you’d like it to be.
The music hall and ballroom are the largest spaces in the venue, and have been providing guests with huge meeting spaces and conference spots, either used together or separately. In a theatre style, the music hall can host up to 788 people, or 600 guests in a reception space for dining. With the ballroom, you can fit up to 400 people, so you can combine the two spaces and have a giant event space, if you need something a bit bigger.
Assembly Rooms has hosted everything from X Factor auditions and televised political debates, to providing period backdrops for TV, and so it provides an excellent setting for filming opportunities, too. For performances, you can enjoy a show in the music hall which can accommodate up to 900 guests in a standing event space. Everything has been hosted here, and musical performances have taken place from Annie Lennox, Gary Numan, Katie Melua, Paul Young and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
